AVTA and the District have been meeting during the spring and summer.  At the present time both AVTA and the District are waiting for the state budget to be resolved, enrollment data, and the District’s unaudited actuals before proceeding with negotiations.   

Your negotiators have tentatively agreed to the following: 

Benefits – Health and Welfare benefits will remain the same as last year. 

Salary & Compensation – We are still negotiating.  Presently, there is no change. 

Memorandum of Understanding –  

SOAR High School Calendar 

1802 Funding –Compensation at the District hourly rate for the 2008-09 school year. 

Teachers on Special Assignment (TSA’s) – collective bargaining language regarding selecting, evaluation, duties and compensation for TSA’s. 

Class size language for Special Education classes. 

Article 6 – Vacancies, Reassignments, and Transfers 
 

Our next negotiations meeting will be on Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008.
