President’s Report, Gene Smith- Negotiators have met four times in mediation.  Members should be aware of AB1200 which forcasts a projection for 3 years to determine if the district can afford salary increase. The next step will be fact finding.  The budget mediation could take up to 3 months and 2 more meetings are already scheduled.  When the fact-finding process is finished a report will be sent to the board for their approval. There is still a good opportunity to resolve this contract through mediation.
