Dear Association Members:
Attached is the Tentative Agreement and MOU's between AVUHSD and AVTA.
AVTA's Rep. Council has recommended a yes vote on the contract.
To summarize AVTA and the District have agreed to zero percent (O%) increase
on the salary schedule. The cap on health and welfare benefits will remain
at $1,269.12, the same as last year.
Also negotiated and attached:
A new form for Personal Necessity Leave including as a reason - 5.3.2,
"Matters of compelling personal importance beyond mere convenience."
Article 5 - Language to clarify Catastrophic Leave
Article 9 Class Size - Language for Special Ed. class size and overage
Article 3.8.2.4.1 - New language for Designated Subject Credential
MOU regarding Calendar for SOAR High School
MOU regarding Special Education Teachers on Special Assignment
School Calendar for 2009-10.
If you have any questions please come to the two general membership meetings
to be held on Monday, Dec. 8 and Friday Dec. 12 at the CTA office in
Lancaster. Meetings begin at 3:30 PM.
